My primary approach to counseling is an integration of person-centered, mindfulness-based, and cognitive-behavioral therapies. When appropriate I also use expressive art therapy, narrative therapy, and other therapeutic modalities to address a client’s specific wellness or therapeutic needs. My role is to assist you in reaching whatever goals you may have for yourself by providing non-judgmental support and by facilitating your journey in whatever form it may take. I believe that as people become more accepting of themselves, they are more capable of finding happiness and contentment in their lives.
I also taught high school for seven years in an independent school setting. I’ve received professional development training in executive functioning and learning differences. I now work with students and adults on achieving academic and personal success, while incorporating various strategies into their mental health wellness plan.
