Christine Engstrom, MS, RD, LD

I am a licensed and registered dietitian with a Master’s degree in Dietetics/Nutrition from Iowa State and Northern Illinois University.

I have been treating patients with eating disorders for 30 years. I have worked at the Residential, Partial (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) levels of care at various treatment centers specializing in eating disorders. While also maintaining a private practice over the years treating people on the outpatient level of care. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adult patient populations.

I maintain collaborative relationships with many providers, physicians and treatment centers in the metro Atlanta area. I was a treatment team member on various treatment teams over my decades in the field, and has been responsible for building the nutrition services aspect of several eating disorder specialty programs where I have served as head RD. I have supervised and trained many of the Atlanta RD eating disorder specialists.

My approach is authentic, down to earth, and direct but humorous and light hearted style. I have a knack for explaining nutrition science in a user friendly way in order to get cooperation with the recovery process. I meets clients where they are and believe in a collaborative approach to healing eating disorders.
