Erin Meason, LAPC, NCC

Clinician

I was initially drawn to supporting and helping others when I started working as a yoga instructor. In this role, I developed a passion for assisting others in reaching their goals through a non-judgmental lens. After several years on the mat, I made the decision to go graduate school to pursue a career in psychotherapy. I consider myself extremely lucky because my journey at The Berman Center began while completing my graduate clinical internship. Being surrounded by a team of incredible clinicians that encouraged, mentored, and challenged me to be the type of therapist that has a deep passion for connection and understanding.

As a therapist, my primary goal is to create a non-judgmental space where I can connect genuinely with clients in order to guide them towards a journey of healing. On this journey, I hope to help clients develop a deep connection with themselves and their capability to live a purposeful, fulfilled, healthy life.

I utilize a person-centered approach, and when necessary, will pull from various therapeutic modalities and philosophies such as internal family systems, narrative therapy, and mindfulness based cognitive therapy in an effort to promote holistic wellness.

My work as a yoga instructor and practitioner has enlightened me to the importance of movement, meditation, and mindfulness. The power of incorporating these practices into daily life can significantly impact our mental health. In my work with clients experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders, I often will incorporate meditative and mindfulness techniques as a way to improve sustained focus, manage intrusive thoughts, and feel empowered.
