MEET OUR TEAM
John Wesley Martin
Clinician
As a therapist, I strive to meet people exactly where they are—with empathy, patience, and presence. I work with teens and adults navigating depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, addiction, suicidal ideations, and major life transitions. My goal is to create a safe space where clients feel seen and supported as they explore their stories and take steps toward meaningful change.
My approach is integrative, blending elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered counseling, and narrative therapy. I believe therapy should be tailored to each individual, and I work collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, gain clarity, and build a life aligned with their values. At the core of my philosophy is the belief that people are capable of becoming the change they want to see in their lives.
I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. Naturally warm and calm in my demeanor, I prioritize building strong therapeutic relationships rooted in trust and compassion. Clients often say they feel comfortable and understood early in our work together.
Outside of the counseling room, you can find me on the basketball court, spending time with loved ones, or immersed in music—whether that’s listening, creating, or simply enjoying the vibe.
