Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Lisa Marie Reyes-Walsh is a nationally recognized leader in mental health nursing education, clinical practice, and addiction recovery. With over 35 years of clinical expertise in psychiatric mental health, addiction care, and family practice, she is dedicated to improving patient outcomes and shaping the future of nursing care for those living with mental health challenges. As the Program Coordinator for Walden University School of Nursing PMHNP program, Dr. Reyes-Walsh combines her passion for education with extensive real-world experience to inspire and mentor the next generation of mental health professionals.

 
She is a nationally board-certified family, psychiatric mental health, and addiction nurse practitioner, licensed in Georgia, Arizona, Minnesota, and Illinois. Dr. Reyes-Walsh is deeply committed to advancing ethical, compassionate care for individuals living with mental health and substance use disorders.
 

Her clinical expertise informs her ongoing PhD research at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she focuses on self-care in healthcare. Dr. Reyes-Walsh empowers students and professionals to prioritize self-care, thrive in their careers, and reduce the risk of burnout and substance use disorders within the profession.
