UNDERSTANDING IOP

What is an Intensive Outpatient Program in Atlanta?

An intensive outpatient program, IOP, is a form of outpatient treatment that has been shown to be just as effective as residential treatment but gives you much more flexibility in terms of continuing with other responsibilities.

With an IOP, you visit our Atlanta intensive outpatient program during the day for your services but return home in the afternoon. This gives you more freedom to live independently, practice what you’ve acquired during your sessions with your family and friends in the evenings, and gain actionable feedback when you return to our Atlanta IOP program for your next set of services.

Let us help you find the right level of care.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

The Costs

How to pay for our IOP program in Atlanta at The Berman Center.

Paying for Treatment

Many people believe treatment is outside their budget, but they fail to appreciate how health insurance can make the cost much more affordable. Intensive outpatient programs not only give you more freedom and a better schedule, but they are more affordable than comparative residential programs. When you call our admissions team, we can help you review the cost of the most appropriate treatment plan for your situation.

We can go over the details of your insurance policy, what types of care are covered at our facility, and what you can expect to pay out of pocket. For the remaining balance, we can go over what alternative payment methods are available to you. Moreover, we provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships for families in need.

Call us now to go over your insurance benefits and find a program that works.

PREPARING FOR TREATMENT

Our IOP programs last eight weeks. Each week you get to participate in one individual counseling session. In addition, you will receive between nine and twenty-five hours of group therapy per week.

When you come to our Atlanta IOP treatment center, you’ll find that many of the therapies we provide overlap with our adult mental health and substance abuse treatments. Things like cognitive behavioral therapy can help you remove negative thoughts that lead to harmful actions and replace them with positive thoughts and an improved sense of self-worth.

These skills can be useful in identifying triggers for substance abuse issues and overcoming them, and they can be useful in identifying precursors to manic or depressive episodes in individuals with bipolar disorder and better preparing for them.

HOW WE CAN HELP YOU

The Berman Center IOP Program Atlanta

When you are looking for an Atlanta IOP treatment center, you should consider The Berman Center. Our facility is founded on Jewish values and emphasizes a soul-to-soul connection for each client.

At our facility, your treatment remains confidential, so you don’t have to worry about anyone knowing that you are in recovery or seeking help for mental health disorders unless you tell them.

Family Therapy

Family should be an important part of your intensive outpatient program Atlanta based. We integrate family into positive mental health with therapy sessions every other week and two virtual family groups weekly. These include our multi-family process group and our skills group.

We understand that every family is different, and the needs of those members will vary. With our IOP program Atlanta clients start with bi-weekly family therapy sessions, but if your family situation requires more meetings or fewer sessions, we can make accommodations.

Safe Locations

We keep all client information confidential, so you don’t have to worry about other people knowing that you are getting help if you don’t want them to. When you come to our IOP program Atlanta center, not only will you find it a welcoming, supportive space, but one that is conducive to relaxation and reflection. Our facility is set in a suburban location, right by the city.

Structured Schedules

Treatment is structured at our Atlanta IOP treatment center. You will have a regular schedule every day of the week that contains some individual and group sessions decided for you and free time where you can pick from our range of available experiential and holistic modalities.

Specialty Treatment

We provide special considerations, including our smoke-free campus, family programs, and LGBTQ group. A history of discrimination and social stigmas has left each of these groups with common substance abuse and mental health issues. Treatment centers with gender-specific programs can provide safe spaces for engaging in sensitive topics.

Special Activities & Outings

Our programs offer unique elective activities and outings. When the weather is nice, our group sessions might take place outside. Our aftercare program for current clients in the adolescent program has therapeutic field day activities twice per year where you can come together and continue honing new skills that are useful in your recovery, community connection, and purposeful life. We also do monthly outings with alumni.
