UNDERSTANDING IOP

What is an Intensive Outpatient Program?

An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a proven form of behavioral health treatment that offers the same effectiveness as residential care—with the added benefit of flexibility.

At The Berman Center’s Atlanta based IOP, you’ll attend structured treatment sessions during the day and return home in the afternoon. This allows you to maintain your daily responsibilities while applying the coping skills you’re learning in real-life situations. Each time you return, we’ll help you build on those experiences with personalized support and guidance.

Paying for Treatment

Outpatient mental health and substance abuse programs not only give you more freedom and more flexible scheduling, but they are more affordable than comparative inpatient treatment programs.

Many people believe treatment is outside their budget, but they fail to appreciate how health insurance can make the cost much more affordable. The Berman Center works with plans from many insurance providers and our admissions team can help review the details of your insurance policy and clearly lay out the costs of the most appropriate treatment plan for your situation. If there are portions of your care that are not covered by insurance, our team will go over what alternative payment methods are available to you. Moreover, we provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships for families in need.

Contact us today to go over your insurance benefits and find a program that works.

We are here to help you feel more secure in the person you are and ultimately help you lead the rich life you deserve.

Alumni Aftercare Support

The Berman Center offers a strong alumni program called TRIBE for those who have graduated. TRIBE is a collaborative process group where alumni come together with The Berman Center staff to experience continued connection and safety.

We believe that the core foundation to healing starts with connection. That connection to the community is formed while at The Berman Center and carries through Tribe long after completion of the program. We are a family of our own choosing! Tribe is a safe place to be your authentic self and share life’s successes and struggles TOGETHER! We can’t wait to meet you and warmly welcome you to your new Tribe!
