MEET OUR TEAM

Abbie Barnes, LAPC, NCC

Clinician

As a therapist, my goal is to work alongside you to provide a safe, supportive, and accepting environment. I believe that the relationship between counselor and client acts as a pathway toward growth and healing, so I work to ensure that my clients always feel seen, heard, and understood. I aim to help you find empowerment, overcome feelings of inferiority, challenge negative self-beliefs, and take steps toward becoming your authentic self.

My approach to counseling is an integration of person-centered, narrative, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Additionally, I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on my client’s individual needs and goals. I am passionate about working with adolescents and adults, and I have experience working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, and life transitions.

When I am not in the office, you can find me trying new restaurants, spending time with my dogs Berklee, Bandit, and Nelly, completing my next home project, or catching up with friends and family.
